Assessment and Delivery of Independent Living Skills

FRAN GELB & COMPANY provides independent living skills training by skillfully pairing clients with the support services each needs to function independently.

Initial Assessment
An initial assessment is made with each client to determine level of independence in the areas of daily living skills, communication, socialization, adaptive behavior and community integration. An Individualized Service Plan (ISP) is designed on the basis of each assessment. Each client's ISP outlines measurable goals in addition to tasks and activities tailored to accomplish their goals.

Independent Living Skills Training
FRAN GELB & COMPANY is committed to supporting self development and self actualization with each client. With Independent Living Skills training, each client receives individually designed one on one support to develop skills and knowledge needed to function independently.

Clients receive independent living skills training in their own homes and communities. Lessons can be provided in English, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hmong, Lao, Lahu, ASL, SEE, and/or PECS. Skills can focus on home maintenance, meal planning and preparation, budgeting, shopping, interpersonal relationships, social skills training, safe and enjoyable use of leisure time, community integration, stress reduction, anger management, job coaching, and parenting skills.

FRAN GELB & COMPANY is formally vendored by the San Andreas Regional Center, Golden Gate Regional Center, and Central Valley Regional Center.
